Dolphins Place WR Rishard Matthews In IR, Promote LB Mike Hull

The Miami Dolphins announced Saturday that they’ve placed WR Rishard Matthews (chest/ribs) on season-ending injured reserve and promoted LB Mike Hull to their active roster.

Matthews, 26, is in the final year remaining on his four-year, $2,151,392 rookie contract that includes a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent in the next few months.

In 2015, Matthews appeared in 11 games and caught 43 passes for 662 yards receiving and four touchdowns for the Dolphins.

Hull, 24, signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State back in March. He was among the Dolphins’ final roster cuts, but was added to their practice squad a few days later.

This season, Hull has appeared in two games and recorded one tackle for the Dolphins.
