Dolphins Preparing QB Ryan Tannehill To Play “Relatively Soon?”

Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post writes that Miami Dolphins would like to have first-round pick QB Ryan Tannehill ready to play “relatively soon,” despite the fact that he remains a long-shot to win the starting job.

Tannehill reportedly looked pretty good in practice over the weekend. He’s been getting a share of the first-team reps, so Miami’s at least willing to allow give him the chance to impress. It seems likely that the Dolphins will go with either Matt Moore or David Garrard start the season, but considering that Miami isn’t expected to win many games this season, it seems likely that they could turn things over Tannehill at some point during the season.
