Dolphins RB Frank Gore Likely Done For Season With Foot Sprain

Adam Schefter reports that after undergoing tests for a sprained foot, Dolphins RB Frank Gore is not expected to play again this season.

Gore was carted to the locker room during the second quarter of Sunday’s game, but the good news is that X-rays came back negative.

Miami will likely finish out the year with Kenyan Drake, Kalen Ballage and Brandon Bolden handling the workload.

Gore, 35, is a former third-round pick of the 49ers back in 2005. He spent 10 seasons in San Francisco before signing a three-year, $12 million contract that included $7.5 million guaranteed with the Colts back in 2015.

Gore played out the final year of his contract before agreeing to a one-year, $1.015 million contract with the Dolphins this past March. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent again in 2019.

In 2018, Gore has appeared in 14 games for the Dolphins and rushed for 722 yards on 156 carries (4.6 YPC) to go along with 12 receptions for 124 yards receiving and one touchdown.
