Dolphins Release S Yeremiah Bell

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Miami Dolphins are set to release S Yeremiah Bell.

This move had been rumored to be coming for several weeks now but it will clear over $4.3 million in cap space for them. Bell has played his entire nine-year career in Miami but was entire the final year of his contract and was set to make a base salary of $4.3 million, along with a $50,000 roster bonus.

Bell, 34, is coming off of a very poor season in which Pro Football Focus rated him as the #77 best safety in the entire league. The good news for him is that there’s very little depth at the safety position so he should be able to find at least some amount of interest.
