Dolphins Rumors: Anthony Fasano, Chad Pennington

Anthony Fasano

Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel writes that Dolphins TE Anthony Fasano may have to rework his deal if he’s to remain with the team in 2012.

As of now, Fasano will make $3.6 million next season but the cap figure will be $4.375 million. Miami has already identified the position as one area where they need to upgrade during the offseason so keeping Fasano at that price seems unrealistic.

We have the Dolphins taking Georgia TE Orson Charles in the third-round of our most recent NFL Mock Draft.

Chad Pennington

I know that Pennington has been out of the league for an entire season but I decided to add him to the Dolphins rumors rather than give him his own post.

Kelly reports that Pennington, 36, is “leaning toward retirement” and is expected to continue calling games rather get into coaching.
