Dolphins Scheduling Visit With CB Robert McClain

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins are interested in free agent CB Robert McClain and are in the process of scheduling a visit.

  • Jackson adds that if McClain wound up being signed by Miami, he would replace Jimmy Wilson.

Miami recently signed CB Brice McCain to a two-year contract, but it appears as though they’re still in the market for another cornerback.

McClain, 26, is a former seventh round pick of the Panthers back in 2010. He lasted a little over a year in Carolina before he was waived and later sign on with the Jaguars before eventually joining the Falcons in January of 2012.

Last year, McClain appeared in all 16 games for the Falcons and recorded 59 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 90 cornerback out of 108 qualifying players.
