The Miami Dolphins officially signed four players to future/reserve contracts on Wednesday including DB Daniel Davie, LB Deon Lacey, DE Arthur Miley and TE Chris Pantale.
Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and during training camp.
Lacey, 26, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of West Alabama back in 2013. Unfortunately, Dallas decided to make him among their final roster cuts.
Although he has not signed a contract since becoming a free agent, he has worked out for a number of teams this year including the Jets, Vikings, Broncos, Patriots, Lions, Buccaneers and Cardinals.
Lacey has yet to appear in an NFL game.
