Miami hosted a number of free agents on Thursday including QB Tarvaris Jackson and WR Michael Crabtree.
Last year, the Dolphins wound up using Samson Satele at center, but it appears as though they’ve made the decision to move on without him.
Walton, 27, signed a two-year, $5 million contract that included $3 million guaranteed with the Giants back in March of last year, but was released in a move that freed up $3 million in cap space.
Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 38 center out of 41 qualifying players last year.

Even though we signed this backup we still need to pick up a new starter at o-line. There is someone who should have been a higher priority for the phins because of the position he play. The man is Dan Connoly and we think the Phins should grab him soon! COme check out why right here and tell us what u think!! http://www.phinsnews.com/getting-dan-connolly-should-be-number-one-on-the-list/
Evan Mathis of the Eagles too. C’mon Fins!, we need a better O-Line to give T-Hill time!.
