Dolphins Sign Four Rookies Including WR DeVante Parker & DL Jordan Phillips

Alex Marvez of FOX Sports reports that the Dolphins have signed first-round pick WR DeVante Parker to a four-year contract.

Meanwhile, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins have also locked up second-round pick DL Jordan Phillips to a four-year agreement.

Miami has reportedly signed fifth-round picks RB Jay Ajayi and CB Bobby McCain as well.

Parker somewhat surprisingly dropped to the Dolphins at No. 14 overall. He offers plenty of ability and the potential to develop into a true No. 1 receiver for the Dolphins offense.

Phillips is an interesting addition for the Dolphins given that they spent over $100 million DT Ndamukong Suh a few months ago. However, Miami also moved on from DT Randy Starks and saw DT Jared Odrick sign a multi-year contract with the Jaguars.

During his four years at Louisville, Parker caught 156 passes for 2,775 yards receiving and 33 touchdowns.

Phillips spent three years at Oklahoma and finished his career with 58 tackles, nine tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, and two pass defenses.
