Dolphins Sign G Lance Louis

The Miami Dolphins have announced the signing of free agent G Lance Louis on Wednesday.

  • Adam Caplan adds that Louis receives a one-year deal and choose the Dolphins because of the opportunity to start.

Louis, 27, has found a rather quiet market since free agency began weeks ago, but he did visit with the Dolphins back on March 14. Louis’ limited market could be attributed concerns relating to the  tore ACL he suffered back in November of last season.

Miami could use some additional help at interior offensive line, considering that Richie Incognito and John Jerry played the more majority of snaps in 2012. Louis figures to replace Jerry as their starting right guard next season. According to Pro Football Focus, Louis was solid in pass protection, but unfortunately he was barely an upgrade to Jerry in run-blocking.

We had Louis listed as the No. 33 player in our recently updated Top 50 Free Agents list.
