Dolphins Sign LS Winston Chapman

The Miami Dolphins announced Tuesday that they’ve signed long snapper Winston Chapman to a contract.

Chapman will have to compete with John Denney for a roster spot this summer.

Chapman, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Mississippi State back in 2015. This will be his first opportunity with an NFL team.

Chapman previously worked out for the Jets back in May of last year, but wasn’t signed to a contract following the session.

During his college career, Chapman appeared in 40 games but unfortunately suffered a torn ACL during his senior year.
