Dolphins Sign OT Zach Sterup Off Browns’ Practice Squad

The Miami Dolphins have signed OT Zach Sterup off of the Browns’ practice squad on Tuesday, according to his agent Brett Tessler.

Sterup, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Nebraska back in May but received an invite to participate in the Chiefs’ rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. The Chiefs later signed him to a three-year, $1.62 million contract.

Unfortunately, Sterup was waived him coming out of the preseason last year. After a brief stint with the Jets, Sterup signed on to the Browns’ practice squad and returned to Cleveland on a future/reserve contract this past January.

The Browns waived Sterup coming out of the preseason and he was later signed to their practice squad.

Sterup started 17 games for Nebraska during his college career.
