Dolphins Sign Three To Practice Squad Including CB Tyler Patmon & RB Trey Williams

Omar Kelly reports that the Dolphins have signed three players to their practice squad on Thursday including CB Tyler Patmon, RB Trey Williams, and DE Julius Warmsely.

Patmon, 24, signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in May of last year. He’s managed to make the 53-man roster in each of his first two years in the league.

Patmon was cut loose by the Cowboys on Tuesday.

This season, Patmon has appeared in 11 games and recorded 13 tackles, six pass defenses and 26 kick return yards for the Cowboys. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 8 cornerback out of 116 qualifying players.

Williams, 22, wound up signing on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M a few days after this year’s NFL draft. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later added to their practice squad.

The Cowboys signed Williams off of the Redskins practice squad a few weeks ago before being waived and later claimed by the Patriots. New England cut Williams loose a few days ago.

Williams has yet to appear in an NFL game.
