Dolphins Sign WR Tommy Streeter

Update:

———-

Pro Football Talk, citing a league source, reports that the Dolphins are signing WR Tommy Streeter to a contract on Monday.

Streeter, 25, is a former sixth-round selection of the Ravens back in 2012. He lasted just over a year with the team before he was among their final roster cuts at the start of the 2013 regular season.

Since then, Streeter has had brief stints with the Buccaneers and Dolphins before joining the Jaguars at the end of September. However, Jacksonville wound up placing Streeter on waivers close to a month ago.

Since then, Streeter tried out for the Cowboys, but nothing ever came of his visit until now.

In 2014, Streeter appeared in two games for the Jaguars, but didn’t record a single statistic.

  1. The Dolphins, I believe made a very big mistake in taking Parker with #14 pick? Reason #1 we already have a truck load of receiver’s, & a 100 million dollar quarterback who’s gotten hit & sacked more than any other quarterback in this last three years!! FACT!!! #2. If this team is going to make a playoff push this year, Tannehill need’s to be standing up right, NOT ON HIS BACK!!! A receiver with first pick after the offseason flurries that brought Kenny Stills, & Greg Jennings. The team should’ve been looking at either taking the best offensive guard available, or maybe a Markus Peters? I think Peters & Grimes would’ve given the Dolphins the best cornerback tandem since the day’s of Sam Maddison & Patrick Surtain?? With both Rashad Jones & Louis Delmas, manning the two safety position’s & barring any injury’s, the team could’ve had one of the very, very best defensive backfield’s in all of the N.F.L.?? Instead the team drafts an often injured receiver, who’s one of the best at his position when healthy.. But, point in case to argue about? Well he be okay for the long term, who will he be always getting hurt?? Look at the carrier of Darrien McFadden? Just one foot injury or leg injury after another! Know he’s one of the very best backs in the N.F.L. when he’s healthy! But , he just can’t stay healthy! Will Parker be like McFadden, a bust? Or like Adrian Peterson? Get hurt, and come back & have a season for the age’s??? Which one will Parker be?? I really wonder if the Dolphins really did their home work on Parkers past injuries, or just went after another sexy PICK??? Remember are last one, Dion Jordan?? Just my two cent’s folk’s. Please write some on this & let’s see what some of you other people think, if Parker was the guy we truly should’ve picked or taken somebody else???(Razor58)GO PHINS UP!!!!!

    • John, I agree with almost everything you pointed out. Sometimes I get this feeling that the NFL is run like many of the stories we were told as children. Stay with me here, I have a point.
First, Off. Guards are not supposed to be drafted before Round 3 unless he is a no brainer(chances are…come back to this) in Round 2, or there is still a giant athlete sitting on the board deep in Round 1. Now that questionably bumpy, yet strict rule written in grey has complete control and supersedes any authority of a person making more money than a coach with greater tenure & a better sounding title but a parking spot that leaves quite a bit to be desired? Still with me? If not, I’ll cut right to the chase.
Miami Dolphins pass up 3rd place Heismann candidate Drew Brees in Round 1 of the 2001 year draft and let the Chargers snag him! Obviously willing to hold on to Jay Fiedler for 4 more seasons? Then, 4 years later Brees is being courted by 2 teams: New Orleans & Miami. I know what I read and what was said to have happened, but to me it’s one of those grey rules; didn’t draft him out of college, sure not goona get him now!! So Culpepper! 2-3 games played I think? Brees, a SB, playoffs nearly every year and still playing?
All of this stuff makes sense to me, but I doubt it reads worth anything. My view is somewhat like the King wanting a new dress for his dinner but there is no material. The dress-maker goes on and makes one; having the king stand in his undies to get all the measurements. The the maker fake sews all day long, finishing just in time for dinner. As he walks into the dinning hall everyone is complimenting him on how nice his new dress looks=fans, announcers, advertisers, players & coaches. They’re getting ready to eat and a young boy wanting air in his football stops and asks the king if he can use his compressor, the only one in town. Boy stops short just as the king is calling his help to bring the deflator for the boy when the boy BURSTS out laughing!!! Why are you laughing boy the King said? The boy said cause your at this dinner and all you’re wearing is your skivvies. The King was so mad at being fooled by ALL, he never allowed anyone to use his air compressor. Yes, King Brady was a Tyrant and a jealous, immature know-it-all. But he had air needed, or..NOT needed??
