Dolphins Signing DT Kendrick Norton From Panthers’ Practice Squad

According to Ian Rapoport, the Dolphins are signing DT Kendrick Norton to their active roster from the Panthers’ practice squad.

Norton, 21, is a former seventh-round pick by the Panthers out of Miami in the 2018 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year, $2.5 million rookie contract but was among Carolina’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

Norton signed on with the Panthers’ practice squad after clearing waivers. He has yet to appear in an NFL game.

During his three-year college career at Miami, Norton recorded 84 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss, five sacks, one pass defense, one fumble recovery, and one forced fumble.
