The Miami Dolphins officially signed QB Brandon Doughty to their practice squad after he passed through waivers unclaimed on Thursday.
The Dolphins’ practice squad now consists of:
- G Jamil Douglas
- TE Thomas Duarte
- S A.J. Hendy
- T Ulrick John
- DE Cleyon Laing
- CB Lafayette Pitts
- WR Rashawn Scott
- DE Jordan Williams
- LB Brandon Watts
- QB Brandon Doughty
Doughty, 24, was taken with the No. 223 overall pick in the seventh round of this year’s NFL draft by the Dolphins. He was in the first year of his four-year, $2.42 million contract when the Dolphins cut him loose on Wednesday to make room for DT Chris Jones.
During his college career at Western Kentucky, Doughty threw for 12,855 yards while completing 68.6 of passes to go along with 111 touchdowns and 34 interceptions.
