Dolphins Tried Out Five Players

According to Howard Balzer, the Miami Dolphins brought in five players for tryouts on Tuesday including DE Larry Webster.

The full list of tryouts for the Dolphins includes:

  1. CB Taveze Calhoun
  2. CB David Rivers
  3. LB Cassanova McKinzy
  4. DE Larry Webster
  5. DE Jonathan Woodard 

Of this group, the Dolphins elected to sign Rivers and Woodard to their practice squad.

Webster, 27, is a former fourth-round pick by the Lions of the 2014 NFL Draft. He completed one year of his four-year, $2,520,584 rookie contract when he was waived by Detroit coming out of the preseason.

The Panthers signed Webster to a future/reserve contract back in January of 2016 and he was one off of their practice squad last year. Unfortunately, Carolina elected to move on from him elected start of the 2017 regular season.

Webster had a brief stint on the Buccaneers’ practice squad.

In 2016, Webster appeared in one game for the Panthers and recorded one tackle and no sacks.
