Dolphins Could Use Lamar Miller At WR Next Season

According Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins could end up using RB Lamar Miller at receiver next season.

Salguero mentions that there’s a chance that Miller could see time as a slot receiver in the Dolphins new offense, considering that he boasts a blazing forty time of 4.4. He could end up becoming a Percy Harvin-like-option for them, that’s capable of moving around, but that will depend on his ability to be effective catching the ball.

Miami figures to go with Reggie Bush and Daniel Thomas as their top-two running backs this season. They also have Steve Slaton, but I doubt he’s many carries unless an injury occurs. Getting Miller onto the field makes a lot of sense, especially when you consider that they could use some extra help at the receiver position. It will be interesting to see what happens during training camp and in the preseason.
