Dolphins Have Veteran LB Stephen Tulloch On Their Radar

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins have free agent LB Stephen Tulloch on their radar as a potential option at linebacker.

According to Jackson, the Dolphins actually wanted to bring Tulloch in for a workout recently, but Miami made clear they were looking to add a linebacker on a low-money deal.

Tulloch is reportedly waiting for a better deal right now, which explains why they haven’t set up a workout up to this point.

A few weeks ago, a report surfaced that the Eagles and Tulloch were in “heavy negotiations“, but there hasn’t been a lot of buzz about a deal between the two parties since then.

While Tulloch underwent an offseason ankle surgery, he’s bar far one of the best linebackers available at this point in the year.

Tulloch, 31, is a former fourth-round pick of the Titans back in 2006. After five years in Tennessee, Tulloch signed on with the Lions spent another five years in Detroit before being released a few months ago.

In 2015, Tulloch appeared in all 16 games and recorded 108 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble, two recoveries and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 54 linebacker out of 97 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
