Dolphins Waive DB Tracy Howard

The Miami Dolphins officially placed DB Tracy Howard on waivers Thursday with a failed physical designation.

Howard, 24, signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in 2016. He wound up making the active roster coming out of the preseason and signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract.

The Browns elected to place him on waivers last April and he was later claimed by the Jaguars. Unfortunately, Jacksonville cut Howard loose coming out of the preseason and he had a brief stint on their practice squad.

The Dolphins added Howard to their taxi squad in December and brought him back on a futures contract.

In 2016, Howard appeared in 15 games for the Browns and recorded 20 total tackles, one pass defense, and 111 yards as a kickoff return specialist.
