Dolphins Would Like To Re-Sign Jared Odrick, But “Growing Belief” He Tests FA Market

Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post reports that the Dolphins have prioritized re-signing free agent DT Jared Odrick.

However, even with the Dolphins’ interest in bringing bring him back, Abramson adds that there is a “growing belief” that Odrick will still reach the free agent market.

Odrick, 27, has played out his five-year, $13,071,939 contract with the Miami Dolphins that included $7.134 million guaranteed and is now in position to be an unrestricted free agent.

In 2014, Odrick recorded 29 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble, a recovery and five pass defenses over the course of 16 games.

Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 19 defensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players. On top of that, Odrick graded out as a very solid interior pass-rusher, which could help his chances of securing a very respectable contract this offseason.
