Donald Brown, Ben Tate & Rashad Jennings Could Be Options For The Giants In Free Agency

Dan Graziano of ESPN.com offers his take on some free agent running back targets that the Giants could consider in the next few weeks.

According to Graziano, New York doesn’t need a “home-run hitter” if David Wilson is back and healthy following neck surgery. Graziano mentions that the Giants are really in need of a running back who is capable of picking up the blitz and being an effective receive out of the backfield.

With this in mind, Graziano believes guys like Donald Brown (Colts) and Rashad Jennings (Raiders) are probably the best fits for what the Giants need at running back.

While many view Ben Tate as one of the best available running back in this year’s free agent class, Graziano writes that Tate is likely to cost too much for the Giants.

Re-signing Andre Brown remains an option for them as well, but they are probably better off checking in on some free agents to see what their asking price is before approaching Brown regarding a new contract.
