Don’t Expect To See Randy Moss Back In New England

The Boston Globe reports that the idea of the New England Patriots bringing back WR Randy Moss after dealing him to the Minnesota Vikings last season in return for a second-round pick is “not going to happen.”

Moss is coming off of a hugely disappointing season in which he wound up playing for three different teams. Moss’s agent said over the weekend that Moss is in “freakish” shape and will be ready for the upcoming season but the real question is whether or not there’s going to be a team that has interest in Moss.

The Jets were rumored to be interested some months ago and that idea seems to make the most sense when you consider that they are likely lose some of their wide receivers to free agency. Moss is familiar with their biggest rival and the Jets have a solid enough coaching staff to keep Moss in check. It will be interesting to see if they choose to sign him when free agency is open for business.
