Dwayne Bowe Has No Intention Of Signing His Franchise Tag

According to Jason La Canfora of NFL Network, Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe “has no plans to sign his franchise tag soon,” which contradicts some previous reports.

Bowe’s franchise tag will pay him $9.5 million for the 2012 season.  Bowe is said to be looking for a long-term deal with the Chiefs, but his asking price is reportedly very high, so there’s no guarantee that they’ll be able to get something done.

Last year the Chiefs drafted WR Jonathan Baldwin to play opposite of Bowe, but it seems unlikely that the Chiefs will use a high draft pick to draft another receiver.
