Eagles CB Ronald Darby Out For Season With ACL Tear

Eagles HC Doug Pederson announced Monday that CB Ronald Darby has an ACL tear and is out for the season.

You can expect the Eagles to place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.

Darby, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Bills back in 2015. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $4.569 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $615,000 and $705,000 over the final two years of the agreement.

The Eagles trade WR Jordan Matthews and a 2018 third-round pick to the Bills in return for Darby last year.

Darby will be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

In 2018, Darby appeared in nine games for the Eagles and recorded 43 tackles, one interception and 12 pass defenses.

We had him featured in our Top 25 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
