The Philadelphia Eagles officially claimed DE Jake Metz off of waivers from the Bills on Wednesday.
Metz, 26, wound up going undrafted out of Shippensburg back in 2015. He played for the Philadelphia Soul in 2015 before joining the Eagles in August of last year.
Unfortunately, Metz’s stay in Philadelphia was limited to less than a week before he was waived at the start of the regular season. Metz joined the Qingdao Clipper of the China Arena Football League last year.
The Bills signed him to a contract back in April before cutting him loose on Tuesday.
During his college career, Metz recorded 219 tackles, six forced fumbles, 55 tackles for a loss and one defensive touchdown over the course of 46 games.
