The Philadelphia Eagles announced Wednesday that they’ve officially claimed S Trae Elston off of waivers from the Bills.
Elston, 23, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss back in May of last year. He was unfortunately waived coming out of the preseason but later signed on to the Buccaneers’ practice squad.
The Buccaneers would cut him loose a month later and he eventually caught on with the Browns towards the end of the year. Cleveland brought Elston back on a future/reserve contract this past January but he was waived shortly before the draft and claimed off of waivers by the Bills.
Buffalo cut him loose on Tuesday.
In 2017, Elston has been active for two games but has yet to record a statistic.
