Eagles Contract Talks With RB LeSean McCoy Have Been “Very Productive”

Jeff McClane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that a source close to the situation has informed him that the contract talks between LeSean McCoy and the Eagles have been “very productive” thus far.

No one is frustrated at this point,” the source said. “It’s not like either side has stomped away upset. But there’s a ways to go.”

Talks have been ongoing since January, so this is obviously a very positive sign for them. McClane mentions that Arian Foster‘s five-year, $43.5 million contract could be a “starting point” for the negotiations.

McCoy has said that he’s not considering a holdout and is expected to attend all of the team’s offseason workouts.
