Eagles Could Get LeSean McCoy Back For Week 16

Eagles head coach Andy Reid told reporters that RB LeSean McCoy could be cleared by an independent neurologist this week, per Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Reid added that although McCoy could suit up for Week 16’s matchup against the Redskins, he still anticipates giving  Bryce Brown some carries.

Brown has been both explosive at times and reckless while carrying the ball, but according to Reid; “[Brown] needs to play.”

“That’s why I haven’t sat him down because of the fumbles,” said Reid. “I felt like he did miss a lot, he missed a lot of football. The thing he needs most is to be out there and playing and learning the game.”

There’s no question that Brown has earned at some amount of carries, but he hasn’t shown any signs of improving the way he carries the ball. McCoy’s 2012 season has been almost the exact opposite of his breakout 2011 season. It would be good for him to get back in the mix and put together two strong showings to end the season.
