Reuben Frank reports that the Eagles have cut DE Alejandro Villanueva, K Carey Spear, DE Francis Mays and CB Davon Morgan.

Villanueva signed with the Eagles as free agent out of Villanueva back in May. He attended this year’s Super Regional Combine.

Spear, 22, signed with the Eagles as an undrafted  free agent out of Vanderbilt back in May and was competing with Alex Henery for the starting kicker job.

Morgan actually signed with the Eagles as a free agent after sitting out a few years. He was originally a rookie free agent signing of the Jets, but lasted just a few months with the team before being placed on waivers.

Mays, 23, is another undrafted rookie who signed with the team shortly after this year’s NFL draft. He attended Florida A&M.
