Eagles Designate TE Richard Rodgers To Return From Injured Reserve

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Tuesday that they’ve officially designated TE Richard Rodgers to return from injured reserve.

This officially opens a three-week window of time for the Eagles to add him to their active roster or he would revert back to injured reserve.

Rodgers, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Packers back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,761,016 contract with the Packers before agreeing to a one-year contract with the Eagles this past April.

Philadelphia placed Rodgers on injured reserve at the start of the regular season.

In 2017, Rodgers appeared in 15 games for the Eagles and caught 12 passes for 160 yards receiving and one touchdown. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 41 tight end out of 71 qualifying players.
