Eagles DT Fletcher Cox & G Evan Mathis Could Also Be On Trading Block

Albert Breer of NFL Media reports that DT Fletcher Cox, LB Mychal Kendricks, and G Evan Mathis are all viewed as trade pieces for the Eagles.

One other name that has come up is CB Brandon Boykin, who reportedly could be available for the right price.

Last night, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, citing a league source, reports that the Eagles are “doing all they can” to trade up for Oregon QB Marcus Mariota.

There’s even talk that Philadelphia could trade QB Sam Bradford in an attempt to get up to No. 2 overall for Mariota, so there are clearly a number of possibilities at this point in time.

Cox, 24, has one year remaining on his four-year, $10.241 million rookie contract, which included a $5.88 million signing bonus. He stands to make a base salary of $1,786,527 for the 2015 season.

In 2014, Cox appeared in all 16 games for the Eagles and recorded 62 tackles, four sacks, three fumble recoveries with one being returned for a touchdown and a forced fumble. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 5 defensive end in a 3-4 defense out of 47 qualifying players.

Mathis, 33, still has another two years remaining on his five-year, $25 million contract that included $7 million guaranteed. He stands to make another $5.5 million in 2015 and another $6 million in 2016.

Last year, Mathis appeared in nine games for the Eagles after he dealt with an MCL injury. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 2 guard out of 78 qualifying players.

We’ll have more updates regarding teams possibly trading up for Mariota as the news is available.
