Update:

The Philadelphia Eagles officially hired Mike Groh as their new wide receivers coach on Monday.

Adam Caplan of ESPN is reporting that the Eagles are expected to hire Mike Groh as their new wide receivers coach.

Groh’s name first surfaced in connection to the Eagles’ vacancy a few weeks ago.

The Eagles will be looking for much more from their receivers in 2017 after a very disappointing 2016 season from the unit to say the least.

Groh, 45, began his NFL coaching career with the Jets back in 2000 as an assistant. After several years working as a college coaching assistant at Virginia, Alabama and Louisville, the Bears hired him as their WRs coach in 2013.

Groh spent three years with the Bears before the Rams hired him as their passing game coordinator/WRs coach last year.
