Eagles Expected To Show Interest In WR Kenny Britt

Tim McManus of ESPN, citing league sources, is reporting that the Eagles are expected to show interest in free agent WR Kenny Britt this week.

Philadelphia is clearly in the market for receiver help and have been linked to a number of available options including Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson, Pierre Garcon and Kenny Stills. There’s also the possibility that they could trade for Saints WR Brandin Cooks.

According to McManus, the Eagles would like to pair a speedy receiver with a big target on the outside. Britt would give them the big target to work with and it’s unlikely he’ll command as much as some of the more notable receiver options.

Britt, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Titans back in 2009. He spent five years in Tennessee before signing on with the Rams in 2014.

The elected to bring Britt back on a two-year, $9.15 million contract that included $4.3 million in March of 2015. He’s now in position to test the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2016, Britt appeared in 15 games for the Rams and caught 68 passes for 1,002 yards receiving and five touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 39 receiver out of 119 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2017 Free Agents list.
