Eagles Have No Plans For Peyton Manning or RGIII

Eagles head coach Andy Reid mentioned that the team has no plans to pursue Peyton Manning or to make a move up in the draft for Baylor QB Robert Griffin III, via the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Last week we heard that the Eagles could have emerged as the “mystery team” for RGIII but Reid did his best to dispel the idea.

We’re obviously happy with Michael (Vick),” said Reid, “That’s not something we’re — we’re happy with Michael.

Just being realistic, the Eagles would have to be willing to give up almost their entire draft to trade up to #2 for Griffin III and they’re already paying Michael Vick a pretty high salary as is. It just doesn’t seem like the kind of move that a team that values draft picks as much as the Eagles would make.
