ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports that the Philadelphia Eagles are hosting veterans RT Eric Winston and G Wade Smith for visits on Tuesday.

  • Caplan adds that the Eagles are also bringing in some free agent linebackers as well.

The Eagles could be without OL Allen Barbre for the rest of the season, so it should come as no surprise to hear that they are meeting with some veteran offensive linemen this week.

Winston, 30, recently camp up as a speculative option for the Packers after Bryan Bulaga suffered an MCL injury, but nothing ever came of this idea.

He signed on with the Seahawks back in late July after finding very little interest as a free agent. He accepted the position as the NFLPA president, which some have mentioned could have been the reason for the lack of interest. However, Seattle wound up cutting him loose as they reduced their roster down to 53 players last weekend.

Last year, Winston appeared in all 16 games for Arizona, but graded out as the No. 69 tackle in the league, according to Pro Football Focus.
