Eagles Interested In Lions MLB Stephen Tulloch?

The Philadelphia Daily News specifically mentions Lion’s MLB Stephen Tulloch as a likely target for Eagles during the offseason.

There’s no question that the Eagles will need to improve their inside linebackers in the coming months and Tulloch figures to be one of the best available options on the market.

Last year, Detroit got him very a cheap one-year, $3.25 million deal. If the Eagles wouldn’t have spent their time attracting players like Steve Smith, Vince Young, Ronnie Brown and Nnamdi Asomugha they could grabbed some that could have solidified the middle of the defense for a bargain price. Hindsight always offers a clear perspective but heading into the season with Casey Mathews as your starting MLB  is certainly a risky move.

Tulloch just turned 27 so he’s still very young and should draw plenty of interest in the coming weeks. We have him listed as the #19th best available free agent in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
