According to Ian Rapoport, Eagles K Caleb Sturgis is expected to miss “several” weeks after he suffered a quad strain in is his plant leg during Sunday’s win over the Redskins.

Rapoport adds that the Eagles are bringing in free agent kickers for workouts in the coming days.

Sturgis, 28, is a former fifth round pick of the Dolphins back in 2013. He spent two years in Miami before he was among their final roster cuts at the start of the 2015 season.

The Eagles signed him to a contract a few weeks later and he received a one-year extension last season.

This season, Sturgis has appeared in one game and converted all three of his field goal attempts including one over 50 yards, but has made just one of two extra point tries.
