Eagles LB Jordan Hicks Suffers Torn Achilles, Out For Season

Eagles LB Jordan Hicks suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon rupture during Monday’s win over the Redskins, according to Zach Berman and Les Bowen of Philly.com.

You can expect the Eagles to place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.

Hicks was injured on the second play of the game while attempting to cover Redskins TE Vernon Davis. He was helped off the field and later carted to the locker room.

Hicks, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Eagles back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2,992,732 contract that included $652,732 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $729,000 for the 2018 season.

In 2017, Hicks appeared in seven games for the Eagles and recorded 28 tackles and a fumble recovery.
