Eagles LB Nigel Bradham Arrested For Assault

NBC 10 in Philadelphia reports that Eagles LB Nigel Bradham was arrested and charged in the beating of a worker at the Hilton Bentley hotel in South Florida last Thursday.

According to the report, a group of six people began arguing with an employee regarding the length of time it took for them to bring an umbrella they had paid for. This issue led to a verbal argument that later became physical and resulted in the victim having a glass bottle broken over his head. The victim sustained cuts and lacerations from the incident.

The group of people fled the scene, but a phone was discovered along with a receipt showing Bradham paid for the umbrella with his credit card.

The Eagles released the following statement regarding the news:

We are aware of the recent incident involving Nigel Bradham in Miami. We have been in contact with Nigel and the proper authorities. Due to the ongoing legal process, the Eagles will have no further comment.”

Les Bowen reports that Bradham is expected to report to the team on Wednesday.

Bradham, 26, played out his four-year, $2.564 million rookie contract before signing a two-year, $7 million contract with the Eagles during free agency. He stands to make a base salary of $2 million for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Bradham recorded 59 total tackles, a sack and three pass defenses for the Bills’ defense over the course of 11 games.
