Eagles Looking To Add Another Linebacker

Eagles HC Doug Pederson confirmed to reporters on Saturday that they’re already in the process of finding another linebacker to bring in following the loss of Joe Walker to an ACL injury.

“I know Howie (Roseman) and his team are out there looking, and with the loss of Joe, obviously, something’s going to have to be done,” Pederson said, via Philly.com.

Pederson didn’t offer any potential targets for the Eagles, but you would have to think veteran LB Stephen Tulloch will be a serious option for them.

Previous reports had said that Philadelphia and Tulloch were in contact with another, but no deal was considered imminent.

It’s worth mentioning that Dave Birkett reported that Tulloch underwent an offseason ankle surgery and was unable to pass a physical over a month ago.

Eagles have long been speculated as a team to watch for Tulloch, considering that former Lions HC Jim Schwartz is now running the Eagles’ defense.

Here’s a list of Available Free Agents broken down by position, in case you want to see who else is available.

Tulloch, 31, is a former fourth-round pick of the Titans back in 2006. After five years in Tennessee, Tulloch signed on with the Lions spent another five years in Detroit before being released a few months ago.

In 2015, Tulloch appeared in all 16 games and recorded 108 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble, two recoveries and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 54 linebacker out of 97 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
