Eagles Officially Rule Out Michael Vick, Will Start Nick Foles

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Eagles will give rookie QB Nick Foles the first start of his career against the Redskins on Sunday.

Michael Vick has been officially ruled out. Reports earlier in the week indicated that Vick was dealing with a “significant” concussion that could sideline him for a number of weeks. Andy Reid mentioned that there’s a chance he could be back this season. Given the serious nature of head injuries, there’s no definitive timetable for his return.

Week 11 will be an interesting matchup of rookie quarterbacks as Foles goes up against Robert Griffin III.
