Eagles OL Andrew Gardner Agrees To A $440,000 Pay Cut

Field Yates of ESPN reports that Eagles OL Andrew Gardner recently agreed to a $440,000 pay cut to remain with the team.

According to Yates, Gardner agreed to reduce his salary from $1.2M to the veteran minimum of $760,000K for the 2016 season. Gardner receives $300,000 in incentives during the 2018 season as part of reworking his contract.

Gardner, 30, is a former sixth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2009. He spend just over a year in Miami before bouncing around with a number of teams including the Ravens, Vikings, Bengals and Texans before eventually signing on with the Eagles in 2014.

Gardner is in the second year of his four-year, $5.495 million contract and would have made a base salary of $1,183,333 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Gardner appeared in three games for the Eagles before he was placed on season-ending injured reserve with a foot injury.
