Eagles Promoting WR Paul Turner, Waiving CB Aaron Grymes

Eagles HC Doug Pederson announced Monday that they’ve promoting WR Paul Turner to their active roster and placing CB Aaron Grymes on waivers.

Turner, 23, wound up signing on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana Tech back in May. However, he was unfortunately cut loose coming out of the preseason and later signed to the team’s practice squad.

During his two years at Louisiana Tech, Turner caught 87 passes for 1,171 yards receiving and seven touchdowns.

Grymes, 25, spent three years with the Edmonton Eskimos after going undrafted out of Idaho back in 2013. The Eagles signed him to a reserve/future contract back in February.

The Eagles waived him with an injury settlement coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to their injured reserve list. Grymes was waived from the injured reserve list with a settlement soon after and was later added to their practice squad.

In 2016, Grymes has appeared in one game for the Eagles but has yet to record a statistic.
