ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio (per Adam Schefter) reports that Eagles QB Nick Foles is undergoing precautionary post-game X-rays on his ribs.

The good news, however, Paolantonio adds that Foles’ rib injury doesn’t appear serious.

Foles took a big hit from Vikings LB Anthony Barr midway through the game. He managed to not only stay in the game, but complete 26-of-33 passes for 352 yards and three touchdowns in the Eagles’ 38-7 win over Minnesota.

It’s worth mentioning that Foles will have an extra week to heal before Super Bowl LII on February 4.

Foles, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Eagles back in 2012. Philadelphia traded Foles to the Rams back in 2015 in a deal for QB Sam Bradford and he later signed an extension with the Rams.

Unfortunately, Foles lasted just over a year with the Rams before he was released last summer and later signed by the Chiefs. The Eagles signed Foles to a two-year, $11 million contract that includes $7 million guaranteed this past March. He stands to make a base salary of $1 million this season and another $4 million in 2018.

In 2017, Foles appeared in seven games and completed 56.4 percent of his passes for 537 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions.

We’ll have more regarding Foles as the news is available.
