On Wednesday, Eagles RB DeMarco Murray was forced to leave practice early after he sustained a hamstring injury.

ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports that Murray is set to undergo an MRI on his injured hamstring at some point in the near future.

Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles would, obviously, handle the workload should Murray miss time.

Murray, 27, five-year, $40 million contract with the Eagles back in March that included $21 million guaranteed. He stands to make base salaries of $1 million (2015), $7 million (2016), $7.5 million (2017), $7.5 million (2018) and $7.5 million (2019) over the remainder of the agreement.

This season, Murray has ran for just 11 yards on 21 carries (.5 YPC) to go along with nine receptions for 64 yards receiving and two total touchdowns.
