Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the Eagles have released OC Pat Shurmur and LBs coaches Rick Minter and Bill McGovern from their contracts.
The Eagles have been putting together coaching staff since hiring Doug Pederson have already hired Frank Reich as offensive coordinator and John DeFilippo as QBs coach, so it was very likely that Shurmur was out in Philly.
He has reportedly found interest from the Rams in regards to their offensive coordinator job.
Shurmur, 50, has been the Eagles’ offensive coordinator since 2013 and was named interim head coach following the dismissal of Chip Kelly. His one appearance as head coach finished in a 35-30 victory over the Giants.
In 2015, the Eagles offense ranked No. 12 in passing yards, No. 14 in rushing yards, No. 12 in yards-per-game and No. 13 in points-per-game.
