The Philadelphia Eagles announced the release of WR Arrelious Benn on Friday.

Benn, 24, was traded to the Eagles from Tampa Bay in return for a 2013 sixth-round pick and a 2014 conditional selection.
Benn unfortunately suffered a torn ACL last August, which subsequently forced him to miss the entire 2013 season.
Philadelphia has added some depth at receiver in the draft after they parted ways with DeSean Jackson a few months ago, so it appears as though they are focused on seeing what guys like Jordan Matthews and Josh Huff are capable of with more reps this summer.
