Eagles Cut 8 Players Including WRs Rueben Randle & Chris Givens

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Sunday that they’ve cut 8 players, as they trim their roster down to 75 players before Tuesday’s deadline.

The Eagles also placed DE Joe Walker and LB Alex McCalister on injured reserve.

Randle, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Giants back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with the Giants before signing a one-year, $1.025 million contract with the Eagles back in March.

In 2015, Randle appeared in all 16 games for the Giants and recorded 57 receptions for 797 yards receiving and eight touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 77 receiver out of 121 qualifying players.

Givens, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He spent four years in St. Louis before he was traded to the Ravens for a conditional draft pick back in October of last year.

The Eagles brought him in on a one-year, $840,000 contract that included $180,000 guaranteed.

In 2015, Givens appeared in 15 games and recorded 20 receptions for 353 yards receiving and a single touchdown to go along with four rushing attempts for 18 yards.

Martin, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Titans back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with Tennessee before signing a one-year contract with the Eagles this past April

In 2015, Martin was limited to appearing in just five games after he suffered a season-ending knee injury. He recorded three total tackles and no sacks for the Titans.
