Eagles Reportedly In On All Available Offensive Tackles

Mike Lombardi of The Ringer mentions that he would be “very surprised” if the Eagles do not make a trade for an offensive tackle by tomorrow’s deadline. According to Lombardi, Philadelphia is in on every available tackle.

Several reports have mentioned that the Eagles are a team to watch in terms of the available offensive tackles after they lost LT Jason Peters for the season last week.

Jay Glazer reported on FOX NFL Sunday that the Eagles are expected to be “one of the most aggressive teams” ahead of the upcoming trade deadline.

“Actually, for the Philadelphia Eagles as he was just talking about, yeah, they’re already calling around about offensive tackles,” Glazer said, via Bleedinggreennation.com. “And they’re going to be one of the most aggressive teams out there because they know what their window is. So expect them to call every team to see if they can upgrade that roster.”

Glazer reiterated later on in the day that Philadelphia will aggressively pursue upgrades.

“The Philadelphia Eagles are going to be very aggressive this week,” Glazer said. “The trade deadline is on Tuesday. They are the top team in the league right now, record wise. Expect them to be very aggressive this week and try and upgrade before the deadline.”

The Seahawks moved quickly to land Duane Brown on Monday, but other names have come up as trade options including Bills LT Cordy Glenn and 49ers LT Joe Staley. It’s worth mentioning that Staley suffered an orbital fracture and could miss some time, which may impact whether he’s traded tomorrow.

“The Philadelphia Eagles are going to be very aggressive this week,” Glazer said. “The trade deadline is on Tuesday. They are the top team in the league right now, record wise. Expect them to be very aggressive this week and try and upgrade before the deadline.”

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Seahawks and Eagles have been two of the more aggressive teams in the trade market the past few years and are still hopeful of upgrading their left tackle positions before Tuesday trade deadline.

We’ll have more regarding potential trades involving the Eagles as the news is available.
